Faculty of Arts

The Research Committee provides advice to the Faculty Board on research matters (excluding those dealt with by the Board of the Graduate Research School).

The committee

• develops an incentive scheme for eligible staff to apply for research grants;
• enhances the research culture in the Faculty through a variety of initiatives and policies;
• develops and monitors policies relating to research on behalf of Faculty Board;
• assists in the formulation and implementation of operational priorities for research; and
• assists in the coordination of postgraduate studies in the Faculty.
