Research clusters

Many of our staff and postgraduate research students are invited to take part in our cross-faculty research clusters.

The Faculty publishes a number of scholarly academic journals.

Limina is a refereed academic journal of historical and cultural studies published by a collective of postgraduate students and academic staff based in the Discipline of History at The University of Western Australia.

Westerly Magazine is published annually (in November) by the Westerly Centre in the Discipline Group of English and Cultural Studies, with assistance from the Western Australian State Government by an investment in this project through ArtsWA.

Parergon is a refereed journal which publishes articles and book reviews in medieval and early modern studies.

Outskirts is a feminist, cultural studies journal published twice yearly in May and November.

Anthropological Forum is an international journal of Social and Cultural Anthropology and Comparative Sociology.

Studies in Western Australian History is the pre-eminent journal for Western Australian History, published annually.

Contemporary Politics is an 'A' ranked peer reviewed journal co-edited by Mark Beeson and Ian Holiday of Hong University.

Critical Studies of the Asia Pacific is a book series edited by Mark Beeson and published by Palgrave that showcases the best research on the politics, economics and security of the world's most important region.
