Career Resources for Current Students

The transition from university to the workforce can be quite a daunting process, and often something for which students are not fully prepared. These pages are designed to offer students assistance in identifying the transferable skills an Arts degree provides them with that employers are looking for, as well as the means of enhancing their employability while still at university.

What are my skills?

Many students find it difficult to know what exactly are the skills they gained through their Arts studies, or how best to describe them to future employers. The Arts Skills Summary is an online exercise which helps students to pinpoint examples of where in their studies they have attained certain skills, and gives guidance on how to describe those skills when addressing selection criteria in a job application.
