This is an advanced-level course of supervised study in Italian language.

Students will normally have completed the equivalent of a major sequence and honours in Italian before being admitted to this course.

The course will be of particular interest to language teachers wishing to enhance their knowledge of Italian language.

Course outline

This course consists of units to a total value of 48 points. It is an advanced course of supervised study.

The standard rate of completion for this course is one year full-time. Study may be undertaken full-time or the equivalent part-time (4 years maximum). International students may only study full-time.

Admission requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), or have approval by the Faculty on the recommendation of the Head of School of Humanities.
