This enables students to gain a basic understanding of communications theory.
It equips them with some of the practical skills and knowledge needed in communications-related employment areas.
Skills and knowledge in communication studies are complementary to qualifications in a range of professional and other areas.
Students look at the nature of communication from a number of different perspectives and apply their knowledge in project-based work, while developing practical communication skills in the Arts Multimedia Centre. You will receive hands on experience in digital media, including website design, digital video and image manipulation.
The graduate diploma is intended for people who already hold a degree but who wish to undertake further study so that they can proceed to a master's degree, or who wish to obtain advanced qualifications in a specific area of expertise.
This is a one year full-time or two years part-time course in which you will study eight communications studies units. Five units are required:

Applicants are normally expected to possess an undergraduate degree without honours.
