In addition to the attachments required in the application form applicants who are not graduates of this University must submit an original transcript or certified copy of their academic record for all tertiary qualifications to date.

The aim of this course is to equip graduates with theoretical, analytical and practical skills required for practice in the fields of applied native title and cultural heritage anthropology.

The graduate certificate is intended for people who already hold a degree but who wish to undertake further study, or to obtain advanced qualifications in a specific area of expertise.

Graduates may be able to apply credit from this course towards further study at graduate diploma or master's level.

Course outline

The graduate certificate consists of the units:

This is a part-time course which can be undertaken one unit at a time (over two years), or completed within a year (two units per semester). Students may start in either semester one or two.

The course has been designed for flexible delivery to meet the needs of people in a range of circumstances.

All units are studied online. However, one (Methods of Native Title and Heritage) will require students to complete an intensive five-day residential component on campus at UWA during Semester 2 study break.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or a relevant discipline.
