Further information

Host a student in your organisation

We offer business a range of programs and activities to promote the understanding of languages, cultures, Indigenous cultural heritage and Western Australian history.

Language and culture courses

We can provide language and culture courses to support your staff who work in foreign countries, or for anyone in the general community:

Professional development and postgraduate training
We have developed several postgraduate courses to meet the needs of industry and government. We welcome the opportunity to meet the training needs of your staff.
Research on a specific topic
Through Co-operative Education for Enterprise Development (CEED), you can link with our researchers, and their undergraduate and postgraduate students, to investigate a topic of interest to you.
Access to students for work experience

Through an Arts Practicum your organisation can engage an Arts student to work on a project of real value to you. The Practicum is a bridge between university study and workplace experience that enables you to design a project with a student according to your organisation's needs and the student's interests.

You may also be interested in being a Career Mentor to a UWA student.

Native Title and Indigenous issues

We have considerable expertise in research on Aboriginal Native Title, cultural heritage and resource negotiation projects.

Commissioned histories
The Centre for Western Australian History can be commissioned to write a history of your organisation.
Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions
The ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions (Europe 1100-1800) works with a variety of industry partners ranging from ABC to Musica Viva. We offer arts organisations research support and expertise to understand the history of emotions and how research can advance historically informed dramatic and musical practice or historically based contemporary work.
